"Harry" is a three year old Greyhound / German Shepherd mix. He is a dark brindle boy, and hails from Fort Worth, Texas. Harry loves to fetch things for you and his favorite game is playing "Tug of war" with a rope. He appears to be protective with his toys but we've had him long enough to know that it is his way of playing. This boy does have a real sweet disposition and really enjoys interacting with people. Harry is very intelligent and makes a game out of unlocking the gates on our fence. We put a double latch on the gate but it took him about two minutes to figure out how to open it as well. He does not jump over our four-foot fence but his gate will need to be secured with a padlock or he will open it without hesitation. He seems to have learned a few basic commands but he needs a bit of work to control him on a leash. Motorcycles and noisy cars are his pet peeve and Harry would chase them if he got loose. He would do best in a family with older children, as he is a very active dog and could easily bowl a toddler over while playing. He sometimes does not do well with other dogs and may have to be placed in a home without dogs, or with a dog to his liking. |
